The starting point
A large global industrial company was looking for a new service management tool. The existing solution no longer fully supported their strategic direction, and the company needed a tool that could grow with them. With multiple departments involved and different needs across the organisation, the selection process required both structure and an independent perspective.
What we did
Clorient support the procurement process from start to finish. We began by working closely with the client to identify and prioritise the key requirements for the new tool, ensuring both current needs and future ambitions were taken into account.
We evaluated different options objectively and facilitated communication between functions that do not always speak the same language. Our role was to bridge perspectives, bring service management expertise into the evaluation and help the client see each option through a strategic lens, not just a technical one.
Throughout the process, we provided insights on how different tools would support the client's service management practices and processes going forward.
What changed
The client gained a clear, well-structured view of the available options. We compiled a final report with a summary and calculations for each alternative, giving the decision-makers the confidence to move forward.
